Welcome to Somerri Kennel's new website. We are excited to show you almost 50 years of our Norwegian Elkhounds, 13 generations, which began with CH Bea's Lady Jade. For us it was a trip down memory lane remembering when the pictures took place and remembering once again the dogs who are no longer with us.
We are a family that consists of a Grandmother whose two sons and daughter and five grandkids have put this website together. Our love for the breed as a devoted companion has lead us to share how wonderful the breed is. We travel across the entire country for National Specialties and judging assignments and this has furthered our education and we have found some of the top quality Elkhounds to breed to.
We are in the early stages of forming this website. We plan an extensive education section on the Norwegian Elkhound for breeders and judges alike, so be sure to keep checking our additions.
We are devoted to creating the best Norwegian Elkhounds. Somerri line is known for their small ears and correct shaped heads and sound gait with the necessary moderate angles. Our dogs are OFA Hip Xrayed Good or Excellent.
